Soar Bottom River Cruises offer river cruises and boat trips around Nottingham, through the heart of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and along the banks of the Trent.

Trip Options

Below are a list of our standard trip options, we are however flexible and will try and accommodate any of our customers requests. Please note all trips are crewed by 2 friendly and helpful crew and remember that there is a bar onboard which is open for the duration of all of our trips.

  • Evening Dinner Cruise - Clock Warehouse

    The Evening Dinner Cruise is available for parties of up to 12 passengers, we travel along the River Soar, River Trent and the Trent and Mersey Canal to Shardlow where you have a 3 course meal at a riverside restaurant and then return to the marina on the boat. The total trip time is approximately 1.5 hours each way with as long as you would like to enjoy your meal

  • Evening Dinner Cruise - Anchor Inn

    The Evening Dinner Cruise is available for parties of up to 12 passengers, we travel along the River Soar to Kegworth where you have a 3 course meal at a traditional country pub and then return to the marina on the boat. The total trip time is approximately 1 hour each way with as long as you would like to enjoy your meal.

  • Picnic Lunch Cruise

    There are a few picnic options available, either cruising towards Kegworth, Nottingham or Shardlow.

  • Champaign Breakfast

    The Champaign Breakfast Cruise is available for parties of up to 12 passengers, we travel along the River Soar or the River Trent while you enjoy a relaxing breakfast and then return to the marina. The total trip time is approximately 1 hour.

  • Children's Birthday Parties

    New this year, available for up to 10 children accompanied by 2 adults. The children are taken on the boat for approximately 20 minutes to a picnic location where there will be a playground and a chance to have something to eat.

  • Public Weekend Cruises

    At the weekends throughout the summer season the trip boat operates from The Steamboat Inn at Trent Lock, Sawley. From here we run approximately 30 minute trips for smaller groups and individuals (no booking is required). The first trip departs at approximately 12 noon and the last trip at approximately 5 PM.
